Christmas is just around the corner and we are all eagerly waiting for our Christmas presents to arrive in the post. With more deliveries to do, couriers sometimes encounter problems if you are not home and have to leave the package somewhere safe.
While most of the time couriers are pretty good at hiding our packages, sometimes they simply leave them on the doorstep in easy view of passersby. With Covid-19 raging on, more deliveries mean less time to spend at each house perfectly hiding your packages, unfortunately.
Even if they do hide your parcel perfectly, there are thieves out there that go around residential areas looking for left packages and even look behind your bins. This is sometimes unavoidable if you have to pop out as it could mean that you don’t get your Christmas present in time.
While a lot of people have opted for video doorbells that give you a notification and live stream of who is ringing the doorbell, more people have chosen to install a delivery box outside house with anti-theft mechanisms to ensure packages remain safe at any time of the day.
This is how a delivery box can prevent theft:
Secure Anti-Theft Mechanism
Even without this advanced mechanism, just having a simple box would probably do a lot of good to ensure your packages aren’t stolen. Thieves are a lot more likely to steal your packages if they are just sitting there in plain sight, but if they were in a box by your door they wouldn’t dare try and steal them even if it was simple. It is the same reason security systems come with lots of stickers saying you have a security system, to deter potential thieves.
